youtube brings laughter

Today my friend showed me this hilarious video, and when I say hilarious I mean that I have watched it 3 times and still have laughed just as hard as I did the first time. I got the point where I was actually in tears and my stomach was in pain from laughing so hard. Take a look if you need a good laugh.  It is a slightly long video but I promise you will not be disappointed, so watch the entire thing!

The word happy cannot do justice to the way I am feeling right now. My beautiful Spartan team has just won Canada West! It went to a shoot-out and that nearly killed me! But the feeling I have right now is worth every minute of stress. A big thanks to all the amazing fans for cheering so loud. And thank you girls for playing your hearts out, I am beyond proud.

in the a.m

I am sitting beside two amazing girls. And you know those people that you just click with, well these are those two girls. We haven't known each other for that long but we have instantly become amazing friends. Currently we are in the middle of making a bucket list.  But this bucket list has some rules....all things on it must be realistic things that we can do together in our 4 years here together. it will be very interesting to see if these crazy things actually happen. The funny thing is, is that we are attempting to make this list at 1 am...a time where our brains shut down, not very successful. But these are the times where everything is hilarious and so random..like us just making an online dating profile, which didn't even end up working. Random times like these are what makes life full of memories.

a time to thank.

I am completely blessed. I know I don't take enough time to really thank God for all of the blessings in my life. Last night I was with two friends and we had the best conversation. And not only did we have a lot of fun just talking, but we really opened up to each other. A lot of the conversation was wrapped around friendships, and how it is so hard at times to find a friend who you can completely walk though life with. We began to list many things we would want in a friend, and here are some of the things we came up with... someone who can to be there for a million laugh, someone who knows what you are thinking with out you saying anything, someone who challenges you to grow spiritually, and someone to share every struggle and ever accomplishment with.  I thought about this conversation a lot and feel extremely blessed that I have a friend who is all of this and more. I have become so use to having a friend like this that it seems normal, but when I really sit back and think about it I realize that i am extremely lucky. Soph, you bring a smile to my face even when you are across the country. Thank you for being my best friend, I have no idea where I would be in life without your constant love, encouragement, laughter and complete joy. I have realized how important it is to have you as someone who spiritually challenges me, you have no idea how much I value you opinion and thoughts. I want you to know that I am thankful.

unexpected

I am constantly overwhelmed with the abundance of kindness i experience in a day...especially from people i have never met before. so i am on crutches..and if you have ever been on crutches you would know how frustrating it is. Not only do your arms an wrist feel like they are going to fall off, but crutches make everyday tasks a complete challenge. I was coming out of the mall the other day, and 2 meters ahead of me i see a road block...a door. Being on crutches while holding shopping bags makes it very difficult to do the simple task of opening the door. I attempted, but before i could completely embarrass myself a guy came completely out of his way and opened the door, then he said to me "i hope you have a very great day". The complete unexpected kindness made me smile. To the kind person out there, we need more people like you in our world, thank you for brightening my day.

from tears to laughter

2 days ago my whole family came to watch me play soccer. It was a late game and it was freezing, and I look over to see my two sister and parents bundled up in the stands, a sight that made me smile. 40 minutes into the game I went into a tackle and sprained my ankle. I limp off to the bench, holding back tears and take a seat. My sister immediately comes over and has a smile on her face. And the next thing that came out of her mouth made me laugh. Apparently as soon as I went down my mom turned to my dad and said "oh my goodness, get her off the field, into the car and lets take her home". I burst out laughing when I heard this. This completely made my day, thanks for being so concerned mom!
