addicted.

Let me take you back to grade 12 for a minute. I had just recently learnt to knit, and i was instantly addicted. I knit though every class, every lunch break and between every class...yes I know sounds slightly anti social, and to be honest it was a little bit that way. But it was only because I had to focus to be sure to make no mistakes..so I was really very dedicated to the task. And by knitting so much I soon was called "Granny" by many of my friends. But this didn't change how I felt about knitting I still loved it and continued to knit. I did have to learn to balance my time between knitting and everything else in my life, but it was still something I did often. Anyway taking you back to today. I couldn't help but smile when my 4 friends wanted me to teach them to knit this pas weekend. And they were serious. I took all 4 to the store and they got their own knitting needles and yarn and we came back and knit for a few hours. They all caught on pretty quickly and they have now developed the love for it. Nothing better that 5 friends knitting on a Saturday night.

"How to train your dragon"

So I haven't blogged in a few days…so bad because I have so much to be happy about but just so little time to actually write about it. Well a few days ago Skimmy and me were in the mood to just chill. We just wanted to get off campus and go to my house and make lunch and relax...so we did. First of all just being with skim makes me happy. We just get along so good and she always knows how to make me smile, I'm thankful for someone like her. Well anyways she made me watch "how to train your dragon".... and I will be honest I was extremely bitter about watching this. I thought it was going to be really dumb and not worth my time watching. But because skim is so persuasive we ended up watching it. Within the first 5 minutes I was smiling at how cute of a movie it was. I absolutely loved it! Thank you skims for making me watch it, because I loved it!

article of encouragement

I friend told me to read this article, and after reading it I thought I had to share it because I loved it. First of all I love the Canucks which gives it an automatic check mark, but it is also just so encouraging to me.  Pleasee please read it!

I was in need of a girl’s night. But sadly my girl friends had all planned to do homework and study. It did not take long to convince them though, after about 5 minutes their minds were changed. I love how they all so quickly dropped everything they had planned for that night so we could go out and just have fun. I had the best night too; we had margarita (virgin of course), appetizers and yummy dessert, and then just talked for a few hours. The night was full of laughter and it was so nice to be able to hang out off campus. I love them all.

responding with smiles

The whole idea of me starting this blog was to make people smile. I had no idea if anyone would read it, but if I could just make one person happy or make them laugh during a stressful day because of something I posted then I thought it would be completely worth it. I just got a text from my friend saying, "hey jo, thanks for that post about your favorite songs, I just listened to it, just what I needed to hear." This brought a smile to my face because I had no idea he read the blog. Then he sent a text saying "I read it sometimes when I’m feeling a little sad, keep blogging, it's a blessing" The truth is that I am so blessed. This response brought joy to my life, which was the exact purpose of the blog. I am beyond happy right now. Thank you thank you!

Guess who i saw today....DAN HAMHUIS! I was so so excited. He came to my youth group to speak and it was amazing. There were 500 people show up, so many that we didn't even have enough seating for everyone. And funny thing. So we were in worship and Dan was standing right in front of me (like touching distance) and our leader told everyone to jump, so everyone starting jumping...everyone but Dan. Then the worship leader said "anyone who isn't jumping is missing out", so i tapped Dan on the shoulder and said to him "hey you know you are missing out"...and he smiled but still didn't, jump, haha oh well i tried. I was just super excited that he was there! But if you ever read this Dan... you should have jumped.
